Well I am still here.  Not really felt like crafting for a while due to different things happening but I will not bore you with them.

I was not very happy  the last Sarah Kay card I made so I took the stamped image off and made this one.  Much happier with this one.

I hope this posts OK I’m doing it from my phone.  I have had this phone for ages and never knew I could upload posts to my blog.

Busy Doing Nothing

04/02/2011 at 11:06 (Stamping) (, , , , , )

I have had the new stamps from Sheena for a few weeks now and not used them.  They are so cute and too lovely not to use.

Another one not photographing very well, maybe time for a new camera.  The dress looks very ‘wishy washy’ but in RL has more colour.

Stamps – Little girl from Sheena Douglass coloured with ProMarkers.  Circle sentiment from Lili of the Valley.  Grand Caliber Labels die and Circle dies.  Daisy trim from local fabric shop which has sadly closed now.

Sunshine all Year Through

07/12/2010 at 11:00 (Stamping) (, , , , , )

No matter how I tried I could not get a good photo of this card.  Everyone I took indoors really looked so bad with the light reflecting off the pearlescent paper.  In the end I shook all the snow off one of my baby fir trees and took it outside.  Still not that good but better then the rest.  I’ll add a photo of the snowy firs at the bottom of the post.

Here is my youngest son and our dog Charlie just after the snow started.  Charlie loves to jump up to try and get the snowballs when the boys are throwing them to each other.  She even demolishes any snowmen they try to make. LOL  She is 5 years old now but whenever it snows she becomes a puppy again.

Pink Wishes

30/11/2010 at 23:16 (Challenges, Stamping) (, , , , , , )

There is a sketch on the  Truly Scrumptious  blog this week also an optional challenge to use the colour pink as well.

Here is my card, I had to take a photo of the card on my craft mat, the light was too bad to take the photo like I normally do.

Here is the Sketch

The stamp is from Whiff of Joy and is coloured with ProMarkers and Copic. The ‘Best Wishes’ stamp is from one of The Stampman’s Aspect of Design stamp plates.   The die cut frame is from Marianne and the tiny butterflies and dragonflies are cut using a Quickutz die.  The embossed panel is made using a Crafts Too embossing folder.

Believe you are wonderful

26/11/2010 at 12:07 (Challenges, Stamping) (, , , , , , , )

The challenge is ‘Cut it Out’  on Papertake Weekly .  You can use die cuts, punches, nestabilities etc.

I used a Grand scalloped circle to make the card, cut one in purple pearlescent card and one in white card.  I scored about 3/4″ in on the white card and attached it to the purple card making the base card.  The stamped image is from Lili of the Valley and coloured with ProMarkers.  Stickles  was added to the skirt to make it sparkly.    The circle text stamp is also from Lili of the Valley I love these new circle stamps.  The flowers are made using an EK Success retro flower punch and an X-cut mini flower punch.

Special Friend

25/11/2010 at 20:31 (Challenges, Stamping) (, , , )

Anything goes on the  A Spoon Fall of Sugar  blog this week.  I brought a new Sarah Kay stamp this week so I used her, she is so sweet.

The light is so bad even during the day and none of the photo’s came out very well.  Luckily it was not snowing today so I was able to take it outside.

I coloured her with ProMarkers and the sentiment stamp is from one of Dawn Bibby’s stamp sets.  I used the swirls again from a Marianne’s die but I cut one and added it to another one as it seemed to need just a bit more for this card, the doily die is also from Marianne.

I’m not Going!

23/11/2010 at 20:16 (Challenges, Stamping) (, , , , )

It’s all Glitter and Glitz on the  Lili of the Valley  challenge blog this week.  I have added glitter to her tiara and her tutu but unfortunately it is not showing in the photo.  I will try and see if I can get a better picture to show the glitter tomorrow.  I think this is my favourite stamp image of the latest release from Lili of the Valley.  Mind you I have just seen some of the images for their next release such beautiful fairies and they will be released in January.   I cannot wait……..

Here is my card

It’s my Party stamp from Lili of the Valley and coloured with ProMarkers.  The flourishes are made from Marianne dies.
